We Test to
New Limits
We hold our products to the highest standards in the industry. From extreme waterproofness to extreme breathability, we develop and test products you can trust in the most severe weather conditions.
How We Test
Every InderShield™ product undergoes rigorous performance evaluations through three critical stages — from controlled laboratory measurement to real-world field validation.
1
LabTesting
Our products always start in the lab, where we set performance targets for new developments. Water pressure, moisture vapor transmission, spray, and the killer wash test are just some of the lab tests our materials undergo to ensure they perform to our standard and are ready to move on to the next steps.
2
StormTesting
After the material hits our lab testing targets, it's sent to our rain chamber where we simulate storms more extreme than the most severe weather the material would ever encounter outside.
3
FieldTesting
Once the material has passed the lab testing and the severe storm testing, it's time to bring it into the field. We work with professional athletes who spend all year pushing our gear to the limit. InderShield™ has been tested on dozens of athletes around the world with over 10,000 hours of testing in the field.

ISO 811 / JIS L 1092
Hydrostatic Head
Every InderShield product is tested for its ability to resist water penetration under pressure. Results are reported in millimeters, representing the height of a water column the material can withstand before leaking. This globally recognized test provides a clear benchmark for waterproof performance. InderShield™ fabrics rate up to 50,000mm.

JIS L 1099-B1
MVTR
Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate measures how many grams of moisture vapor pass through a square meter of fabric in 24 hours. The higher the number, the faster sweat escapes — InderShield™ reaches up to 45,000 g/m²/24h.
ISO 13934 / ASTM D5034
Tensile Strength
The fabric is gripped at both ends and pulled with increasing force until it fails, measuring how much load the laminate can carry. It confirms our materials hold together under the stretch and strain of real-world movement.

ISO 12947 — Martindale
Abrasion Resistance
The fabric surface is rubbed against an abrasive surface under controlled pressure for thousands of cycles to measure wear. It ensures InderShield™ survives packs, harnesses, rock, and repeated use without breaking down.
Internal Rain-Chamber Protocol
Storm Test
In our rain chamber we simulate storms more extreme than anything the material would ever face outside — enduring 23 inches of rainfall per hour for a full hour. To pass, the base layer beneath must stay completely dry.

Long-lasting Performance
With a durable monolithic construction, InderShield™ is designed to provide consistent waterproof-breathable performance season after season. The longer a product is worn, the smaller its annual environmental impact.
